Dropping a decoder address

Digitrax DH-123 I believe.

It is not responding to the address I gave it. I have to reset it (CV-008) and then reprogram teh new 4 digit address.

Any clues as to why my Digitrax system will drop the same locomotive address? I have to reprogram it about every other week.
