Digitrax FX decoders will blink the lights when they detect a short.  You had such a short that you corrected, consciously or otherwise, when you re-did your installation.  More info here:

No , I have removed the docoders and benched them just to try the lights, nothing . This is a new system havent used yet. Have 14 volts output. I think might have problem with base unit.

Did you get a little lurch when you programmed the address?  My guess is the pads that make contact with the motor clips are not.  A little bending of the clips, shimming with styrene, or tinning the pads will probably take care of it.

Another question, when you put it on the main, can you control the headlight?

Jeff But it's a dry heat!

New with Prodigy advance, have digitrax DN163K0b decoders for Kato N F7. Installed as per instructions , and will not work. put on program track and the led for the headlight will blink when programing address, but when put on track, nothing. Tried 3 different decoders. all blink on test track, but nothing on main. will digitrax work with MRC, or do they need to be completly programed to work. Had Prodigy before with Ho with no problems. any commints?

thanks
