i model in n scale and have purchased a couple of mrc decoders ,there ok but cant get the slow speed control i want. the question i need to know is does digitrax make a hard wired decoder for diesels and steam where the speaker is included ? oh and by the way digitrax speaker is huge for n scale so i would probably end up replacing the speaker anyway .

i put the mrc sound decoders into a couple of atlas locos after having the frames milled for the speakers and have been able to get them adjusted speed wise so that they work well with my digitrax equiped units. the're not perfect and they don't jerk each other when running. but i'm going to wait for digitrax to produce them before i buy any more sound decoders. i have only diesels by the way and any locos that were decoder equiped when i bought them have had the decoders replaced with digitrax units.
