You might want to pose this question on the Classic Toy Trains forum. Guys who speak TMCC and DCS hang around there. Most of us are stuck in the DCC and DC two rail world - we just don't know how to handle that extra rail.

To Whomever,
Heres my setup for getting power to the trains on the track. I have the lionel 180 bricks, a TPC 400, and a TIU with Lionels command base. I have both lionel and MTH engines. I expanded my layout and need much more power so i got a TPC 400 with 2 180 bricks for more amp power. I got 12 engines and 12 sets of passenger cars on the track. Thats why i need alot more power. I use to have it where i ran both mth and lionel engines on either remote. But when i use the tpc400 i only get half the amp power and dont know why. I do know its only half power because the lights on the passenger cars are really dim. But when i skip the TIU they are all bright. I look in the manual and couldnt find the answer, so im stuck and figured its easier to ask then to blow something up. I asked people at the hobby shops for answers but they didnt know. My old setup I had the tpc with the lionel base connected and it worked great except your engines wouldnt work off your remote cause it wasnt going through the TIU. But now I want to run the mth engine on the tracks but I need the TIU connected to work the engines. I have had 3 other tracks with the mth and lionel engines on and they work great, but they dont have a tpc400 on them. I have 60 big engines lionel and MTH and i want to run them all where ever i want. Email me back at mhtml:{E44E2A1A-BD66-4B89-AB4B-83FC2478B279}mid://00000000/!x-usc:mailto:BOF30002000@yahoo.com
