Atlas programing

I just got a Atlas D-40C and I am having trouble programing the engine number of 6034 to the decoder.  I have the Digitrax DCS 50 (Zepher).  I know I can program this decoder to a 4 number adress because I have another D-40C that I purchaced years ago and it runs great under the adress 8698.... any suggestions???  I have tryed to program it about 10 times now and it wont take.  the jumper is in the correct spot and the switch it in the right location on the jumper.   Thanks

Don't you mean CV 29 = 34  for a normal direction of travel.
