Get an old AT type computer power supply to power your structure lights. I'm using one to power about 50 light bulbs right now and it's not even starting to strain.

Luke,

Your Zephyr has a 2.5 amp capacity.  I would not 'waste' that power on 'non train' stuff.  Use an old power pack or get a 12VDC 'Wall Wart' power supply to light the structures on your layout.  The DCC signal is about 14-15 volts and the lamp life of many of the available signals/lights  is only 12 volts.
