I'm so new at this DCC thing that the paint hasn't dried behind my ears. I haven't even connected my NCE Power Cab to a test track yet. The brand new subject loco instructions are vague concerning whether or not I have to do anything to the DCC equipped engine before setting it on a programming track. I was under the impression that new locos with DCC innards are set up for DC and require some fussing before they can be used with DCC.
This is a beautiful locomotive. I paid more for it than any that came before. I just don't want to burn out the decoder or some such catastophe.
