I installed a Soundtraxx DSD-AT100LC  EMD 2nd generation sound and motor decoder into my Athearn RTR AMD-103 and changed horn to a 5 banger to more closely match the real thing.  I need to do a better job with the baffle but I think the board does the trick and fits without a proble.

I cannot comment on the other engines - I have an old Spectrum F40 that barely had enough room for a decoder.  I don't mess with milling so no sound for me.

Would be curious if there is a sound decoderf for the Acela - can't imagine an electric engine having a sound decoder - I would think you'd only hear "buzzing", air let off and coupling effect....
