I haven't looked recently so that I have the right number, but Tony now markets at least four new detection modules for reversing and boosting and so on.  I have had their newer PSX-AR on my reversing loop for just over a year now, and it works marvellously.  The instructions are solid.

The PST that Tony's use to sell has been replaced by PSX from DCC specialties.  The new PSX is the updated version and allows some of the more amp drawing sound decoders to transverse the power districts without the problems they had with the PST.

I know that Tony owns a distributor, but I don't know what it is called.

I got my Powershield (PSX-AR) from Tony's Train Exchange. They are made by DCC Specialties out of Traverse City, Mi. Can't tell you if the're owned by Tony's or not. But Tony's has the complete new line of their products.

Uh, I think Tony also owns DCC Specialties and American Hobby Distributors and the new QSI Solutions.  Ken

I may be mistaken, but I believe that DCC Specialties is Tony.  But know he also sells the units through other outlets.  In any case, it is the same stuff, or the next generation of it, and think it is made by the same people.  And it is good stuff.

Could be they got tired of side production, I know that NCE makes decoders under the Tony's name. In other words, DCC specialties got tired of making stuff for Tony.

Am I reading this right? I went to his site and was getting convinced to get a PSTwo and PSReverse module. But the caption for these units says not for sale. Something about being replaced by another brand.

Anybody have the 'scoop' on this?

Look here: http://www.tonystrains.com/products/dccspecialties.htm

DCC Specialties took over the PSxxx line from Tony.
