What is a good paste?  Not sure which is good for general use from dcc boards to brass.  To many initials in the descriptions .  Figure inshould ask.  What to look for .

Solder paste or solder flux?  There is a difference.

Solder paste is pulverized solder alloy in paste flux.

What you want is a eutectic solder composition with relatively fine grain size in flux with no-clean composition.  I'll look at some of my references for recommendations later.

What is the paste going to be used for. There are several pastes that are used to solder surface mount components onto PC boards.

A friend gave me some Kester liquid flux which may be the same as this:

I use it occasionally but prefer the paste more often.

For etched brass structural assembly I use TIX solder and their liquid flux:
