DCC on the Beer Line, what gives?
Posted by simon1966 on Sunday, March 29, 2009 4:11 PM

A couple of months ago MRR showed the wiring and installation of the Bachmann Dynamis DCC system on the Beer Line layout featured in the mag.  I was browsing the May issue that arrived in the mail yesterday and noticed that the article on operations has them using Digitrax throttles for their operating session.  What happened to the Dynamis?  Did they give up on it for some reason?

Could it be something as straightforward as sponsorship for the articles, Simon?   With the listings/mentions of all the commercial products that go into the production of these projects, maybe this is nothing more than distributing the acknowledgements for commercial support.

...I guess.  Although it is a good question.  Smile

There is a far simpler reason, the Probox add-on for the Dynamis that allows the use of multiple throttles won't be out untill next month.

just guessing, but the pics were taken before xmas, because there is about a three month lead time for the mag, so even if they received an advance copy of the probox, they probably wouldn't have had one that early.

When in doubt, rule #1 applies Central Missouri Railroad Association cmrraclub.com
