lever plant
Posted by train18393 on Saturday, March 10, 2007 3:05 AM

Anybody know who makes a interlocking lever plant for a tower? I am building a Big Four tower on "stilts" and since it will be up front I would llike to put at least some semblance of a switch plant, desk, biffy etc. A one piece casting for the lever plant would be so much easier than scratching one.

Thanks

Paul

I remember seeing a full interior for a switch tower for sale in this years Walthers bible.  It came with a bank of levers, desks, and other misc. goodies.

I did forget to mention that I model in HO scale. I looked in Walthers, but I was looking for things in the SS Limited section of the super detail section of the book. I will go back to the big book again and do a mo thorough search in the morning, before I go to bed(Yes I work mids.) Thanks for the response.

I am still looking for an interior for a Lever operated interlocking plant. I looked and looked and looked in the 2007 Walthers HO catalog and did not find an interior for a interlocking tower in the catalog. That don't mean there is not one there, man there is so much stuff in there! Any recolection of wherer it may be? I looked under several headings in the index, looked in the super detail section and looked in the structures section, all to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.

I remember seeing a interior to a tower in the Walthers Catolog but it was more European than American. It wouldnt be hard to scratch the levers. I think it was made by Kirbi.   Kevin

I remember seeing it myself, Kibri or Heljan.  I'm sure it's in the catalog.

I thought for sure it was in the Walthers 2007 catalog.

I've looked through all of the recent (2006-2007) Walthers monthly mailers and Model Railroader issues, and still can't find it.  I'm on a mission.  I'll check all my Trains Magazine issues, as well as any other railroad publications for the ad...

...If I don't find it, I'll have gone MAD trying!!!

ezielinski,

I have seen things in the Walthers Catalog, remembered it, went back at a later date and it was gone! Perhaps the little people on my train layout sneek about when I am not looking and put that lost small part on the workbench right after I finally got a new one, and they make changes to our printed matter just to keep us on our toes!!!

Thanks for the thought

Finally, I found it!  I's made by Faller Gmbh.

It can be found at: http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/272-120118

I will order one of these. It looks like something I need. I still have a hole where the levers belong in my tower. I can also populate several other towers with it as well. Did you actually see this in the Catalog somewhere, or did you find it on the Web site?

Thanks again for keeping this on your mind. Hope it didn't take up to much memory.

I found the description on page 493 of the 2007 Walthers HO Scale reference book.  I looked up the part number online to see if it was what I was thinking of.

Glad I could be of assistance.

Don't know if you are still looking, but this update kit for the Atlas interlocking tower includes a lever plant.  Kinda steep in price if that's all you need, but perhaps the other parts could be used elsewhere.
