Thanks for the information. I have found a number of useful pictures on the sites mentioned in previous replies. I even e-mailed VIA for details. but have not received a reply.

Of note: some Montreal to east coast trains I have spotted on the Drumondville sub are beautiful, some being 13 - 20 plus stainless fluted with (3) F40's up front at well in excess of 80 mph!!...all this with 3 or 4 domes and an end observation!!!...very much the new golden age of passenger service. VIA deserves a round of applause for these trains as I don't know of any one else with such a beautifull consist and power arrangement!

Not much matches on VIA. They still use the LRC coaches, but pull them with the F40 in grey with yellow and blue. Some coaches are upgraded inside, but still look the same outside. The newest engines (P42) I believe all carry the new scheme, but still pull LRC coaches with old paint.

he last time everything matched was the introduction of the LRC with the LRC engine. Before that it was the Turbo. Those are the only times everything has looked like a "kit".

Take a look around the web, and if all else fails, I will try to get some pictures for you. The Ottawa, Smiths Falls, and new Fallowfield station are all within driving distance for me.

I am currently building my first layout. A lot of trial and error going on.

I am not concentrating on any one single theme as I have rolling stock for UK, USA Canada, Japan, Europe...... I see what I like and do not want to limit myself.

However, I have travelled on Amtrak, on a holiday 7500 miles in 15 days. As a result I have the Kato N gauge P42 and Superliner coaches, I have also got the VIA P42 and recently got hold of a set of Con-Cor coaches in VIA livery. However, they do not match the Engine scheme so I am trying to find out what would be correct.

The VIA site is not entirely helpful. Thanks to the replies posted I now have a chance to learn more. So many thanks for that.

VIA Rail Rolling Stock

I live in the UK and am currently building a model railway in N gauge. I am also trying to build a set of pictures of interesting railways.

Having travelled on Amtrak, I have a few personal photos, although I wish I had taken more. I am also interested in pictures of current VIA Rail stock. However, the picture on VIA's own site seem to be very picturesque and not very helpful in showing the colour schemes in use.

Can anyone help me find something useful.
