One place to check that no one seems to know about: The Army Museum at Ft. Eustis Virginia.

Thanks, Dave. Obviously the Early Rail group seems to be the place for those of us modeling 19th century trains.

The Early Rail group in Yahoo groups can give you information on this. It may even be in their message archives, I remember threads on USMRR.

I am having trouble locating information regarding the paint scheme used during the Civil War by the USMRR, black and white photos are great for nearly everything, except color. Specifically, I am looking for colors used on the engines and boxcars.

Thanks![:)]
