The signal aspects indications they used were typical western US ones, similare to the UCOR. Try ebay to get a copy of a rule book for your era, search for "Rio Grande" or "rule book" or "rulebook" .

What scale are you building this in? OREGON rail supply builds an HO version of the D&RGW style signals. There is also a place in Price, Utah, the name of which slips the mind at the moment. They make them too. There are a coulple of websites to check,

Those might help you out.

There are a couple of pictures showing signals in the November, 2003 MR article by Bernie Kempinski on Soldier Summit. Both show the typical 3-color main signal heads with UP-style hoods to fight both glare and blowing snow. I seem to recall that a few signals on the D&RGW in Utah were searchlights, and some (as in both of the photos in MR) had the 3-light head plus a second single light head showing a speed restriction or some such.
Incidentally, Martin is the Utah Railway yard that is just up the hill from the D&RGW yard in Helper.

I Don't know where Martin,Utah is.But my map of the DRGW in Utah shows almost all of the single track mainline as having central traffic control signals

I am building a model railroad, the Utah, Rio Grande & Pacific that covers a piece of the Utah division of the DRGW. I can't find a reference on the signals used from Martin to Salt Lake. Does anyone know where I might find a signals reference? I need to know the types of signals and their signal interpretation.
