My new layout will include Jasper, Alberta about 50 years ago and I would like to hear from anyone who has information about the yard design at that time or knows about the train operation. I have questions about things like the wayfreights, the ice house and steam locomotive maintenance and assignment. Any comments or help would be appreciated.

Go the National Film Board of Canada railway page
http://www.nfb.ca/trouverunfilm/categories.php?idsubcat=4509&subcat=Railways&cat=Transportation&idcat=45&v=h&lg=en
The Railroaders film from 1958 can be ordered, and so can Trans Canada Express from 1944.
End of the Line form 1959 chronicles the last major steam train in Canada and may have some info
