Got out of the hobby "big time" several years ago and gave away my hundreds of MR's. I've just got back in with a purchase of Atlas's N scale MP15DC (it's beautiful in a industrial way) and plan to build a small pike around that one photo in MR...oh so long ago.

BTW Tom I'm on cable......email> yield2it@yahoo.com.au

It does. On page 122 at the bottom. SW1500 #2642 leading the GP9E #3767 on the Oxnard switcher on the Santa Paula Branch between Mayo and Piru CA.

Are you on dial-up or faster connection?

I'll see when I get home this evening. I just recently purchased about 120 copies ranging from 2002 back to the late '50s, but if you do the numbers, that means about a 20% chance I got this one. Probably a little higher, since I got more in the 80s and 90s, but....

You might send your email address off-list. See my profile. There's even the chance that, even if I didn't get the copy, the LHS which had the pile of back-issues would still have it.

(cover of mag has CP geep in the snow )

Well, I'm trying to confirm a real life photo that "I think" was part of this article
that showed a SW1500 MUing with a GP9 somewhere in SoCal.

Would be appreciated if someone could even scan the photo.
