Cool! There ought to be lots of books to help you with photos. Except they might all be in German. I'll have to look at the books I bought when I was there last year and see if any of the mining stuff has train photos.

Otherwise, you might try searching for the mining museums in the Harz and then see if their websites have useful photos.
