That might be the C-415 from IHC. It comes in ALL KINDS of un-prototypical paint schemes. [:D] I've got one in UP, for instance. UP had one, acquired from another RR, but from what UtahRails says, it was never PAINTED in UP Armor Yellow/Grey.

Yet another engine question:

What road # was CNW's SD-CAT? I got a CD from the CNWHS that has recordings and it's awesome. One neat one is of the SD-CAT. Anyone know when, where, how it was used? Any details would be appreciated. Plus where I could get a model of one.

New engine, new question:

I just got an "old-style" Athearn C44-9W and I need to paint the handrails. Some shade of green I believe. Is there a specific color I should look for? I'm sure there is but I don't know what it is called.

If C&NW ever did, they have never shown up on any roster I've seen. So, as far as I know, no.

If I remember correctly C&NW switched to "Zito Yellow" in 1980. At that time it was known as "Safety Yellow" and was replacing "Stagecoach Yellow". C&NW switched to "Traditional Yellow" in July 1991 on the third order of C40-8's (later C42-8's) due to the bleaching effects of the sun on the "Zito Yellow" and how badly it faded.

Anyone know when CNW switched to "Zito Yellow" from the "Old" yellow?

Atlas still has undecorated body shells available for C-425s @ $3.00 each. Check their online catalog for loco spare parts under the C-424/425 (Japan) listing.

To find a CNW painted shell eBay is your best bet.

Thanks! I just found that on www.utahrail.net but can anyone direct me where I might get a new body for it? Kato doesn't even list that model anymore.

I have a Kato CNW Century class diesel engine in the brighter of the two yellow colors. The engine has a CNW fleet number of 403. What kind of century engine is it and where can I get another one or a new CNW body for this one cuz the mount is cracked?
