Thanks. 1/32 looks good. All that needs to be done is to drill a million more holes.

2 scale inches minimum, about 4" nominal. Slip a .030 to 060 piece of plastic under them to get the right offset. About 1/32 of an inch would be about right.

I have a set of PRR reefers from Walthers. How far out from the car body should the grab irons be?
