where did the AOE cars come from?

I was wondering if anyone here knew what railroads the American Orient Express passenger cars came from. is there a website that lists their heritage?

Since no one will ever make a decent model of this train, I figure that if i knew what railroads the cars came from, I could track down individual brass or plastic models and make up my own train.

any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

material.

If you don't find info from anyone else, you might send the historical societies
for each of the railroads mentioned, or even send a note to American Orient
Express.

Alex, I can help you with two of the cars that they use. The observation car is ex New York Central from the 20th Century Limited and the full dome is ex Southern Pacific. If I saw the train in person I could help with some of the others.
