Gentlemen , I would like to know your opinion regarding the reliability of the Presidents choice box sets ( and what you would be willing to bid on them ) and I have occasion to get a Triang CP Rail box set ( its a british built item I believe) , I would like to know the reliability of this item and if there is a bid price one should consider to purchase it.

I bought a set for the 2-6-0 camelback and 1890's cars. Paid about $40 on e-Bay.

The general feeling I get is that the later PC sets should be worth about $75 (Cdn) (Original retail about $100), but there are a number of dealers who think it should be much higher.
Can't say on the TriAng; there is not a big market for the Transcontinental range.

I've bought all the PC sets since the second one and have found the engines all to be surprisingly good runners and the sets to be exceptional values given their original purchase prices (all ca. C$100). In fact, I've seen dealers asking as much as C$200 or more for PC sets at several train and hobby shows in southern Ontario. I've been trying to get my hands on one of the very first sets -- the one with the IHC Mogul -- but I refuse to pay that kind of price for it. However, I would gladly trade one of my extra Camelback sets for it. Any offers? Finally, does anyone out there know if Loblaw's has any plans to revive the PC train sets series for Xmas this year???
