The 28 (second) was NYC's only streamlined business car. It was originally built by Budd in 1948 as a tavern-lounge car (No. 1900), and was intended for C&O's Chessie train.

C&O rebuilt it in 1953 as business car No. 19 (second). It was sold to NYC in 1954, the same year that Robert Young left C&O to become chairman of the Central. The car was sold by NYC to a private individual in 1959, the year following Young's death.

The car subsequently was sold to GTW in 1968, and to CN in 1977.

A photo of the car in NYC service is found at http://www.canadasouthern.com/caso/images/nyc-28.jpg

I was given a few Kato N scale Budd business cars the other day...all of which are painted for the New York Central. I'm trying to figure out if any made it to PC, if they were relettered, and what the numbers or car names where. So far, all I've managed to find are grainy photos of #28. Any help is appreciated.
