I have seen steel plates on 60' flatcars.

rambo1 you can put a lumber load or a military wheeled vehicle load or farm tractor on a 60ft flat car. in the late 90's railroad model craftsman did a several part article on the ttx flat cars and the variety of loads that each car carried, or you can go to www.ttx.com and search in there for 60 ft flat cars.

I just purchased a couple of 60' flatcars from athearn in soo line what kind of loads would these cars take or handle? rambo1........
