Hello,
this is the right forum, I think. I am here for the first time.
Can anyone say me, when the heavyweight- cars of the PRR, NYC and B&O were built (first year) and when they were retired?
Thanks for helping!

I posted to your question on the main page, but go here to find out the information you need:
http://www.pullmanproject.com/
Walthers says the cars are plan 3975c. Do a search for that plan in the database, and you'll find out everthing you need.
In general, the cars were built between 1928-1929, and were used mostly on the Pennsy. Before 1948, the cars were mostly painted Pullman Green, with a smattering of cars in the Pullman pool grey/grey scheme, and others painted to match the Pennsy's passenger car fleet. The bulk of them were sold to the Pennsy after 1948. There's no information on when the cars were finally scrapped, but virtually all would have left the rails by 1960.
I found NO information on any of these cars ever being used by the B&O. Walthers is making these cars in correct body styles, but not necessarily in only correct paint schemes.
