Thank you SSW9389, Info much appreciated, so I guess I won't be buying 3 of them after all. I'm still waiting for a BLI NW2.

Great Northern's six U28Bs were delivered in 1966.

LL is coming out with a U28B with DCC and sound. Among the issue is a pair of Great Northern units. My question is does anyone know the timeframe and areas where these were used? I model GN from '47 to'50 thru the Cascades, and want to know if these units would be appropriate.
