I second HighIron2003ar. Give the business to you LHS if you have one. My LHS gives me a 10% discount on special orders, as well as other shops that I have dealt with in the past.

Why not simply go thru your LHS? Let them pay the shipping?

Send the maximum. (The previous message said to send more.) If you pay more, expect (demand) a refund.

I would send $131.98. $119.98 for the engine plus 10 percent ($12.00) for shipping.
If you ain't having fun, you're not doing it right and if you are having fun, don't let anyone tell you you're doing it wrong.

i am interested in buying one of bachmann's 2-10-0's or 4-6-0's. their order form says orders over $70.01 add 10% or maximum of $12.50. well i figure out for example the sale price of their 2-10-0 is $119.98 add 10% and that is $12.99 . what amount do i send the $12.99 or the $12.50 maximum they have listed?
