What kinds of locomotives would the Southern use on an Virginia coal branch in 1975? I am modeling a proto-freelanced branch of the Southern and need another locomotive. I already have an Atlas GP38. I was looking at a Stewart Hobbies Baldwin S-12 in Southern colors but I dont know if this would be right for the time period I am modeling. Can anybody help me out here?
