Did you ever find any photographs of reefers?

There are plenty of photographs of reefers out there. Try "refrigerated boxcar", "reefer"+"ARMN", "reefer"+"PCF", etc.
UP has the largest fleet, most were built by Pacific Car & Foundry (PCF, renamed to PACCAR, no longer build rail cars) and Fruit Growers Express. Trinity Rail Group is building UP's latest.
Cryo-Trans (it has a website) originally bought used RBLs (insulated boxcars) and planned to use carbon dioxide to keep the load cold. It was not logistically feasible (if I remember correctly), so the cars are being used a RBLs again. These are mainly PCF cars (1400 series) with some that look like RBLs that have been reported to have been built by CBQ (1000 series). They bought Arcticars, I have seen one being used as a RBL (1200, I think). They have also bought large mechanical reefers from Gunderson, if I remember correctly (3000 series), these may be converted Articars.
