GN stations circa late '40's early '50's

I am modelling GN thru the cascades in the early diesel age. I want to do a fair sized wooden station. Question is: Laser-Cut has a very nice, just right sized NP class A wooden station kit. If I used GN colors, how much changing would it take to be close if not a dead ringer for a GN station? Or is there any better kits out there to start with? Rocky John

Try the American Model Builders Laserkit for the GN wooden depot. It is very
nice, is pretty easy to build and is accurate for standard GN wooden frame
stations. It may also be built in differing orientations. I have one myself and
am very pleased with it. It is too short to do the Skykomish depot alone, but
two together would be enough. It is accurate for the old Snohomish station
or the one that stood in Gold Bar and possibly others. Look on the Laserkit
website. They have listings for all their products there and photos, I believe.
I too am intending to model the GN in Washington State-specifically the west
end of the Cascade Division centered around Everett.
Good luck.

I just checked. The GN station kit is #133. It is still available.

GN-Rick, Thank you for the info. I will try to get one done before the June meet at Bellingham. Hope to meet you there. I am bringing some Free-mo modules in progress. Rocky John
