The RPP chassis is correct for both. Athearn's chassis is shorter than prototype to allow on operation on tighter curves.
E-L's were SDP45
Nigel N&W in HO scale, 1950 - 1955 (..and some a bit newer too) Now in San Jose, California

Didn't the Erie Lackawana run some with 5,000 gallon tanks?

They both use the same 4,000 gallon tank.

Now from what i've read the lengths are the same but what about the fuel tank length?
im asking since that rail power was bought out sd45-2 chassis are hard to come by, was thinking of putting a kato or athearn chassis on the shell but im not sure if the fuel tank length would be correct or not
