Bruce,
If it is a
rotating
Mars
light, rather than the "figure 8," I think the only way you can simulate it in HO is to buy one of the model lighthouse or police car electronic modules. As I understand it, they simulate the appearance of rotation by ramping the brightness up, and then ramping it down. Hope this helps.

The prototype of several steam locos on the C&NW, had a mars light just above the headlight. Does anybody have a way to have one of these recreated in HO?
I assume it was a rotating mars rather thana figure 8. Thanks,
