I used Scalecoat ATSF red fpr the light red and Lehigh Valley Cornell red for the maroon. I use tape for the yellow striping (1/32" Chartpak or similar brand) and paint the entire engine in the striping color, lay out the striping pattern and put on the lighter coat. Don't rmove the tape yet! After the light red dries (can be as long as 2 or 3 days) mask off the light red and spray on the maroon. Now you can take off the tape all the tape. The proper color for the striping(base coat) is CN yellow (which is actually Dulux Gold) but I don't think Scalecoat makes it any more. UP yellow would be an acceptable substitute.

I am looking for information on the correct colors for the GM&O RS-1. It is some shade of red I think, but most of the ones that I can find pictures of are faded. I have an unpainted RS-1 that I want to do in this road name.
