I saw this a few weeks ago, the ingenuity behind it all was impressive!!

And it reminded me why I didn't major in engineering!! Hmm

 The engineering and design always fascinated me. From the old slide valve to the poppet style. The rotary cam and dual piston were engineering marvels.

I came across this a little while ago. For all the folks that see their tiny stampings and rivets on their model 2-8-2s this will explain alot.

Quite an ingenious machine, you would agree?
