JaBear

Found that entire site after I had posted the question. (Also added it to my web page list.) In color would have been nice but beggars can't be choosers. Found another image that answered the trucks question as well.

I still the 1335 set is the right set to renumber one of the cars as I have two of the same numbered car.

Model/Prototype Match Help (Yet Again)
Posted by FRRYKid on Monday, September 18, 2023 9:06 PM

Got yet another one for my Forum friends. I have two Athearn RTR cars that I was given a few years ago. They are a pair of Athearn 7552 - 50' Smooth Side Reefer lettered for GN/WFEX (http://photos.app.goo.gl/FD36CAds2sWBSZmr7). I want to work them into my fleet.

However, I can't find any evidence of the car number (or even it in GN lettering). The closest picture I have found is this one: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2989363. However the model doesn't have the reefer trucks and it has the ends painted brown. I have found images with the brown ends but they were for the wrong type of car.

I think I've found the correct decal set for the reefer (Microscale 87-1335) and correct reefer trucks (Athearn 53308) for the car picture referenced. However, I would need to find the right yellow for the ends if I needed to repaint.

As usual, any assistance that can be provided would be most welcomed.
