Sidings and signaling
Posted by El Tejon on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 9:45 AM

I am modeling D&RG in the 1950's. Curious as to where the proper placement and number of signals would be prototypical for this siding?

Three options:

Dark territory, no signals.

ABS signals there would be one set of signals beyond the points of each switch with one head in both directions.  All the signals would be singl heads.

CTC signals there would be three signals at each switch one facing outwards on each of the three routes into the switch.  The signal nearest the points would be a double headed, the signals nearest the frog would be single head (you can see that in Jeff's link to Minturn).
