Cannon & Company makes an excellent fan, if you can find them.

I'd go with Details Associates, or Athearn:

You could also check out BLMA, although I think all they offer is N scale.

Atlas now handles BLMA.

Fans on SD40-2 and SD45 Locomotives

Hi,

Apologies if this question has been asked and answered but I am modeling the CNW in the 80s into the 90s and want to detail some Kato HO models to be prototypically accurate. I want to upgrade from the molded on fans and get the separate blades.  Anyone have any recommendations on after-market brands of 48" fans that would have been prototypically accurate on CNW SD40-2 and SD45 locomotives in that era.  Thanks a million.
