Perfect! Just what I needed and more. Thanks all.
This one may look similar to a 44 Tonner, but it's actually an 80 Tonner...

mbinsewi Kind of guessing here, and I will be watching your thread for an answer as well, but the ETRR had one for a while and I think the tank is under the cab, between the trucks, and there was a filler cap near the floor board, right by the cab, on each side of the loco. Lets wait for a correct answer. haha Mike.

This information is surprisingly hard to find, but you are correct. This document https://utahrails.net/pdf/GE_44-ton-Specification_May-1947.pdf has an arrow pointing to the end of the cab in the photo on the bottom of the page numbered 206, and the legend states there is a fuel filler on each side.
The end of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC02MG7sv5M shows the filler being opened.
Maybe there were variations over the years? This one seems to be just above the first letter A in Pennsylv A nia.

This manual shows the filler [26] in a diagram on page 4:

Hope that helps, Ed

Hello. I am building a diorama of a GE 44 ton switcher being serviced by a mobile servicing truck. Where is the diesel tank and filler pipe? I've looked on line but cannot find it. Thanks!
