Thanks everyone
John,
For the unit in the photo, Ed is correct. I just finished detailing a L&N Family Lines SD40-2 (3584) and it also used the Leslie RS-5T RRO. I ordered mine through my LHS and he got them from Athearn, part # ATH02024. These are the ones Athearn uses on their Genesis models and they are really nice but not cheap (about $20 for 3 retail), I'm not sure who else makes them but you can probably find them a lot cheaper but they are really nice. Overmod is correct that on some units depending on the era and where the unit came from, the horns can be different, but I've seen these on L&N, SCL, and EX-B&O units just to name a few.
Hope this helps,
Ralph
Would it not be better to look at this answer for specific types of "Family Lines" power, including the many that had horns specified by the predecessor railroads?
Was there an organized program to use 'standard' horns when rebuilding or shopping particular kinds of power?
Hi, John
No expert here. Looks like a Leslie RS5T-RRO? (two smaller bells reversed)
Others may "chime" in with better information.

But, these horns had a penchant for wheezing and squealing when the power chamber got dirty or worn.
Good Luck, Ed
Can someone tell me what horns family lines used on there sd40-2 Thanks John
