The Gillette you did not know existed when you were running around when you were a kid trying to find a railroad name that did not exist.

Steven OtteVery nice pictures, everyone. I just want to take a moment to remind participants to be sure that they only post their own pictures.
You got it Steve! With extremely rare exceptions I only post my own pictures.
This one is located at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum static displays.
Very nice pictures, everyone.
I just want to take a moment to remind participants to be sure that they only post their own pictures. Nothing from outside sources like rrpictures.net. It seems like everyone here is good so far, but I have to give everyone the standard disclaimer. It's a copyright thing.
Carry on, as you were!

Track fiddlerInteresting Caboose Graphics Kevin.
Ashburn, Georgia has a Fire Ant Festival every year. It is quite a bit of fun. The whole town has things with a fire ant theme. The home made fire ant scupltures are always great to see.
This is a caboose turned into a Dentist Office in Lakeland, Florida.
Interesting Caboose Graphics Kevin.
I could be mistaking but isn't that the ant that the blue Aardvark would try to suck out of the anthill and his snout sounded like a vacuum cleaner. It was a cartoon during the Pink Panther ones I enjoyed when I was a kid. I probably still would
I found one more.
Mandan Railroad Museum, North Dakota.
Me posing on the FIRE ANT EXPRESS in Ashburn, Georgia.
When the thread started Henry, I did say I prefer red cabooses. This wood caboose you posted is in such wonderful shape. Very pleased with the restoration.
NICE!
The shopping center is named Quarterfield Station. Trucks are stamped C&O 1929.
The shopping center may have been a stop on the Baltimore and Annapolis RR, when my mother and room mate took the train to dances at the US Naval Academy. Room mate married Ross Perot and I am not a billionaire.

You know I never thought of that. That was spring of this year on a wonderfully warm day.
You may be right.
Track fiddlerWho parks a big Gilligan boat right next to the Railroad Tracks?
Russell
I thought I might as well post this too because it was the same track looking the other way across the street
I did like the picture...... Who parks a big Gilligan boat right next to the Railroad Tracks?
I thought I was fresh out of Cabeese. I found one more in my logs.
It was by a train show towards Rochester, Minnesota about 50 minutes away from me.

Now I really need to hit the rack, getting late. First I'll re-post Ed's favorite cat.
I like Ed's cat
Nice
I want to come down there and go hunting or fishing or whatever it is that you do at the caboose Ed

Track fiddlerA caboose like that would sure make a really cool cabin or hunting shack.
They sure do

That's interesting Kevin. I'm not a very fancy lad, I could live like that if I had to. As long as it was in a State that didn't have winter. I would imagine one would need an outhouse. Did you notice if there was one?

I saw this caboose in Kansas.
It had an address and a mailbox!
Yes, a yellow D&RG and red ATSF back to back...... I also recall they had plexiglas (I assume it wasn't regular glass) that enclosed the adjoining "porches" to keep the weather out.
ENJOY !

mobilman44 Back in the early '90s, while driving around Colorado, I spotted a residence that was two cabooses back to back. One was a D&RGW (yellow) and the other ATSF (red). They were set up nicely and frankly they were beautiful! To the best of my recall this was outside Durango, again about 1991 or so. I did take a pic (film camera) but can't locate it to show here. Has anyone else seen that ?

I found one more caboose in Duluth left from my pics. I think I'm fresh out of cabeese.
I better hit the road again soon. I could use another road trip. Those road cabooses are all over out there
Hopefully you guys have some more. Noting like a good caboose. Enjoyed them all here. Thanks for sharing your pics.
A Runaway Caboose is never a good thing Wayne.
You better go across country on your horse and try to retrieve that.
Judy and I just watched that episode of Little House on the Prairie the other night.
Charles Ingalls did ride across country on his horse really fast and did retrieve that Runaway Caboose his kids were in

Track fiddler...and Wayne, you forgot to post your caboose
Yeah, it must've come uncoupled.
Three weeks or so ago in Wisconsin. Definitely one of my favorites. I may have posted it twice might reflect that fact.
I forgot which town again but Terry knows, it is some town in Northern Wisconsin and Wayne, you forgot to post your caboose ....... don't forget to post your caboose
