Decals for CSX Passenger Office Cars
Posted by nealknows on Monday, October 22, 2018 9:24 PM

Hello everyone,

I want to replciate some of the CSX office cars and the ones I've seen on Fallen Flags and other places have names on the sides of the cars. I checked Microscale and didn't see any. I'm looking for suggestions on where I can possibly find them. I have a printer and decal paper. It's an Office Jet so I'm not so sure of the quality.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all who reply!

Hi, Neal

I'm planning to do some Conrail "OCS" Executive cars sometime soon. I'm fortunate that Microscale has some decals for these cars and Proto did the E-8s a few years ago.

If you can do your own art work, maybe you could contact Don Tichy about doing some custom decals. Go to the next-to last page of the catalog here:

https://www.tichytraingroup.com/Portals/0/Instructions/94583_TichyTrain_Decal.pdf?ver=2016-11-22-090453-473

He charges $35 for an 8.5 x 11 sheet. One sheet should be plenty of decals for what you need. Make up your artwork to fit as many car names and heralds you can fit so you have plenty to work with. There are other custom decal printers out there but some have fairly high minimum order requirements. Like 250 sheets for Microscale.

Just a thought,

Hi Ed,

Thanks for the link. I'm going to reach out to them for both the OCS car and my private railroad decals that I need.
