One of the popular photo sites has a number of views of 5308 in this scheme, circa 2008. They indicate it was the LAST paint scheme applied to RS11s; the green and yellow with very large "LV" (no 'R') being years earlier.
Here it is exactly so Lamoille Valley Railroad was correct. Thanks.

Lamoille Valley Railroad Co used LVRC. Their roster lists RS-3's and RS-11's in a predominently yellow with green colors. Its predecessor St Johnsbury & Lamoille County (aka St J and Lake Champlain) appears to have had some GP locos.
What I found,

The ones I have are all red with a large LVR midrange on the locomotive. They do have gray trucks, but Lamoille Valley does look the closest I have seen yet. I bought these used on ebay many years ago. They are great little locomotives, but I see by the year that they don't likely have any cabooses that ran with LVR.

A quick search yielded THIS. Lehigh Valley was LV.

The closest I can find is the Lehigh Valley. What color is your loco?
Google Lehigh Valley Railroad, and look at the images, and see if yours matches anything there.
Maybe a previous owner lettered it for a fictional railroad, as you don't mention where you got it.

I have two n scale Kato (I believe) RS-11 locomotives that carry the badge of LVR. Does anyone know what railroad this is? Possibilities are Lehigh Valley and Lassen Valley, but I don't see any full size locomotives pictured with the large letters LVR on the locomotive.
