While making a search for some PRR photos recently, I stumbled across this portion of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania's website and had a fun time panning, zooming and having a look around some of the equipment listed here:
http://rrmuseumpa.org/about/musviews/
E7, GP30 or GG1 cab interiors, the PRR Airbrake Instruction car, Western Maryland Business car #203, the Pullman Lotos Club and a few others.
These views sure look great on my big monitor. I'm not sure if an iphone will have the same effect.
Just thought I'd share the site for anyone interested in the photos offered here.
*It's painful to look at the L1s, though what with the sandbox sitting in the coal bunker and all...
Thanks, Ed
Mike
Glad you liked the photos, Mike and Omaha.
Being a Pennsy Fan, I found this very interesting. I never knew that site was there. You learn something new each day. Now I wonder how accurate the colors are. For painting the inside of a coach for instance.
They do a good bit of research to try and get things right when they restore equipment. Just make sure you are looking at the right thing - they have so much equipment, some is restored, other is waiting on restoration work and may still be in last owner colors.
