The CB&Q used the red and white gyralite's in the upper housing, and standard white fixed lights in the nose on EMD's, and just the opposite on the GE U-boats...

According to what is on rrpicturearchives, the CB&Q had 7 SD45's. They all have, such as you say, over-under lights between the number boards, and over-under lights on the nose.
This link is to page 3 of the list, where you'll find the SD45's.

Good day everybodyI just got a Burlington SD45 #530 (before BN era)Does anybody know which would be the correct lights configuration ?
I left them fixed on top (between numberboards) and a girolite on the nose.
Thanks for the tips.
