Thanks, Ray!  I skimmed through this, enjoying every minute, since I love archeology of interest to model railroaders.  I'll come back another time and check out all the links, spend more time looking it over.  Reminds me of my explorations in the West in '70.

Hi Ray,

I usually get to see you photos of the olde mine workings you seek out each year on a different web site.  However I just spent well over an hour enjoying the photos, descriptions and the drone footage which is a great bonus this year.  Given that I am unlikely ever to visit the SW States of the United States sharing your efforts and interests are most appreciated.  For someone living in a very lush area of the UK the desert with all its various colourings and rock formations is a joy to see.   Thanks for sharing and I look forward to 2018.

Lots of good reference for old buildings, ranches, mines, mills, etc. Note that there are some aerial photos and video of the facilities at the Nevada Northern RR Museum. I also got extensive photos of a well-preserved 1929 REA truck.
