I am actually building a simple kit of a Fairmount MT-14 speeder to put on my CNR inspired layout. I know that the color for CNR speeders after 1961 was orange but my memories tell me that I saw yellow ones when I was a child. But maybe I am wrong. What was the color during the 50's, orange or yellow?

Modeling CNR in the 50's
While not an MT-14, it IS in yellow (M-19). Railrodder was filmed in 1964.

Thank you Ed. It is definitely Yellow. There are some more speeders at 13:00 that are also Yellow. My memories were right.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
I don't have a leg to stand on.
Glad you folks found that enjoyable! Buster Keaton is a hoot!
Can you imagine what kind of reaction the film makers would get if they approached one of today's Mega Corporate Railroads and asked to do a similar film?
Fun Stuff!

Ed, that was hilarious. Thanks for sharing. What a great idea for a Canadian travelogue.

Hey Ed:
Thanks for posting the Buster Keaton video. I haven't watched it in many years.

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
I love the way a thread can take on a life of its own. All this stareed with an honest question about a paint colour (since we're talking CN)

Me too... someday I'll have to get more uploaded
Turn the sound (and bass) up at about 3:00!
Those were some fun times!
