And the yard at 6 is for incoming and outgoing traffic for the ferry operation at 1.

Go back to the link I sent you in the Hump yard thread, scroll down to the first black and white photo.  The photographer is standing on the upper set of step arrangements at 5, looking S,SE, and down at the lower set of steps and platforms.  The second photo is taken around the area of 12 or 13, looking SE.  The switcher with the caboose and the two flat cars is working the car ferry yard at 6.

Trains arrive in yard 14.  The road power cuts off.  Yard engines pull cuts of cars back on the tail track (left most track next to 16).  The yard engine then shoves the cuts on the trestle 8 to the dump 9.  As the cars are unloaded they are rolled one by one onto the kick back at 10, to the return track 11.  The yard engine then bulls them back under 5, and shoves them up the Cliffside track 7 to the yard at 14 or 15.  When they get enough cars together a set of road power runs an empty train out of 14 or 15.

BR&P Yard At Genesse Dock

Hi I am trying to figure out how cars were moved at the BR&P Yard at Genesse Dock specifically the coal dumping operation. There is a track diagram I found, below. I think that the cars would be pulled past point 12 through the switch then pushed over the trestle past point 8 to point 9 where they would be unloaded then they would be pushed into a roll to point 10 where they would reverse and roll past point 11 through the switch and then (now this is pure speculation because I have no idea) they either are pushed by a loco waiting near point 5 up past point 7 into the yard??? Or they would pass point five through the switch and then  roll (or be pushed) past points 2,3,4,1 to point 6??? Please help thank you. I put a link for the image below because the image would not paste correctly.
