It looks like they were built new for FP&E:

FP&E's two ex-N&W locomotives were S2 107 built as NKP 45 and S4 108 built as NKP 59.

I'm probably forgetting some obvious source. I've been trying to find out the original owners of two Alco diesel switchers now owned by the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek, Ohio. These were Fairport Painesville & Eastern numbers 101 and 102, which reportedly came to FP&E from N&W. Their construction numbers don't match anything on the NKP or Wabash, and I don't think the old N&W or Virginian ever owned an S-2. Is it possible that this info could be in an old issue of Extra 2200 South, or some other publication? I have a pretty good personal library, but can't find the info in any of my own books & mags.

The construction numbers are:

FP&E 101 c/n 74336, blt. 1945

FP&E 102 c/n 74482, blt. 1946

Thanks.
