Larry's right, and Procor is a Canadian subsidiary of Union Tank, since 1962.Unless the railroad which you're modelling is narrow gauge or not connected in any way to the North American railway system, a car from any standard gauge common carrier railroad in North America could show up on your railroad. It might not be an everyday occurrence, but it is possible. UTLX was originally connected to Standard Oil (ESSO in Canada), so such cars would likely be regular visitors.

Yes,UTLX tank cars carried chemicals,gas,oils,corn starch,corn sweetener etc and was seen coast to coast and in Canada.
You would have seen other American freight cars as well.CN,CP and TH&B freight cars was seen here in the States.

Ever hear of West Indies Fruit & Steamship-Florida to Havana Railroad car ferries.WIF even had their own boxcars with a car ferry emblem.

I am about to finish two tank car kits but don't know yet which road name I should use. Although my layout is CNR based, I like the yellow markings of UTLX. I wonder though if there was any UTLX tank cars on Canadian trackage in the fifthies?
