After all that Parping-on about a name for my station, I spotted this little Cutie in a CSS Tube Vid

I know they say 'Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder', but it was "Railroad Station Love at first sight". Sorry Stockbridge & Fort Paull - you're both taking a hike.
At first I thought it was another version of "Uncle Jeffrey's" - with the large Neon Sign, but a bit of checking-out soon revealed her history along with that of the Beverly Shores community itself.
Refering to Tony Koester's article in MRR Oct 2016, 'Americanizing European Structures', I just need a Mediteranean-style kit to fit directly into a HO Scale Railroad model of the CSS, otherwise I'll scratch-build it. I will definitely model the Neon Sign as true as I can from Google Images.
Tony's article reminded me of how when I was 10 or 11 years old (late 1960's) I spotted a HO Station kit in a Toy-shop (in England) The kit had a slight "Trans-continental" appearance, but I bought it, took it home, built it as was, no modifications and placed it straight on my OO Scale Model Railway. The kit was AHM Minikits 5814, "Rico" and I still think to this day that it was a terrific model. I wish I still had it. Even though it was not a British-style Station, my imagination did the rest and dispelled any doubts, for me at least. Paul
"It's the South Shore Line, Jim - but not as we know it".
Hi,
Is there any MRR Reader who could get me 2 photos of B.S. Station Building please?
I could do with one of the North Elevation, i.e. taken from the Car-park and one from the East El' - looking towards Chicago, both 'head-on'.
There are some good images on the web, but most of these are on the South & West El's.
If anyone can help, please post here or send me a PM. Thanks, Paul
